Summary |
While we have been out of the building recently, we are looking forward to returning. This week Nauticon Electronic Security has begun work to install our new electronic security system, funded by the Federal Non-Profit Security Grant program. When we return to the building, you will enter through a new security- rated door, using a secure access control system that will authenticate the identity of anyone entering the building through your choice of a phone-based app or card.
In this picture you can see some of the improvements which have already been installed. On the top you can see the high definition pictures from our new security camera system, which detects threats both inside and outside the building. Below from left to right are the new video doorbell system which will be used to identify and admit visitors, a
professional quality HD security camera, a panic button to instantly summon emergency personnel, and a strobe with alarms to signal emergencies in the building. More improvements to come as we work to ensure security for our temple once we return.

UAA Questionnaire to Candidates
United Against Antisemitism (UAA), a grass roots organization based in the Washington D.C. area, created a questionnaire on how candidates seeking to run in our Congressional District, and for the US Senate seat for Virginia would respond to the rise of antisemitism we are witnessing.
This is a non-partisan effort, and the questionnaire was sent to all candidates (Democrats and Republicans) running in the primaries for the 10th Congressional District, the seat currently held by Jennifer Wexton who is not running for re-election. Please click here to read full information and to see the responses.
