Active Threat Training - Personal Scripts
Past SessionsSunday, December 8, 2019 • 10 Kislev 5780 - 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Thursday, November 21, 2019 • 23 Cheshvan 5780 - 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Many of you attended our recent Active Threat Training where we learned about Avoid, Deny, Defend, and how to react if there were to be an active shooter situation. We hope you found this training to be valuable and empowering.
We have scheduled two follow-on training dates, with the first taking place on Thursday, November 21st at 7pm. This training will briefly review Avoid, Deny, Defend for those who may have missed the first session, and then we will spend the bulk of the session developing and evaluating personal scripts with which you can be prepared for various emergency scenarios and locations.
The entire congregation is encouraged to attend, along with all teachers, substitutes, and madrichim.

Announcing Sanctuary & Social Renewal Sprint 2
Our goal is to raise $50,000 by June 30 to build a spiritual Jerusalem stone wall backdrop integrated with the bimah, with recessed lighting and built-in space for a permanent ark.We plan to have the sanctuary construction done during the summer so that we can be ready for the High Holy Days. We thank everyone who has donated to our earlier phase.
Above you can see a rendering of these exciting plans (place holders for ark and furniture). Along with the movable wall and new seating these changes will begin to give our sanctuary the feel of a permanent worship space. Click here to read full details on the project.
