Summary |
The interfaith community gathered again on the Sunday before Thanksgiving to celebrate the spirit of thankfulness & the blessings of unity. Thanks to the Loudoun Interfaith Clergy Group for organizing and all the BCRC members who contributed and those who helped at the event. We assembled 200 winter care packages for Mobile Hope, an organization that provides support for at risk local youth. Here is a picture of the clergy leaders with Loudoun Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis Randall to Rabbi Amy's left.

Announcing Sanctuary & Social Renewal Sprint 2
Our goal is to raise $50,000 by June 30 to build a spiritual Jerusalem stone wall backdrop integrated with the bimah, with recessed lighting and built-in space for a permanent ark.We plan to have the sanctuary construction done during the summer so that we can be ready for the High Holy Days. We thank everyone who has donated to our earlier phase.
Above you can see a rendering of these exciting plans (place holders for ark and furniture). Along with the movable wall and new seating these changes will begin to give our sanctuary the feel of a permanent worship space. Click here to read full details on the project.
