During the Days of Awe, usually on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, it is a tradition to go to a nearby body of water and symbolically cast away one's sins or wrongdoings from the past year in a ceremony called Tashlich.
We toss bread crumbs into the water. The ritual is accompanied by a short service.
Tashlich will be held after Rosh Hashanah morning services, at Windmill Pond in Ashburn Farms (directions will be given out on Rosh Hashanah). We will supply the bread.

Fall holidays continue with Sukkot and Simchat Torah. Join us at BCRC Oct 18 to shake the lulav and esrog, and check out our temple sukkah! On Oct 25 don't miss the Simchat Torah festivities.
