Summary |
We were all shocked and saddened by the news of the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka, as well as other recent attacks on religious institutions. On April 22, an interfaith prayer vigil was held at the ADAMS Center, next door to BCRC, which was co-sponsored by BCRC, ADAMS, Christian Fellowship Church (CFC) and many other local instit
utions. Over a dozen faith communities were represented as well as the local Sri Lankan community. Rabbi Amy, Rizwan Jaka of ADAMS, Rabbi Greenspoon of Sha'are Shalom, Pastor Mike Trivett of CFC, Loudoun Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis Randall and many others delivered moving and inspiring remarks. See the news story reported by WTOP News for details and a photo album. Also see ABC News . By coming together as a community, we hope to do our part to end this cycle of hatred, and that next time we can all come together under happier circumstances.
