BCRC kicked off the 5780 worship year with a great 'Welcome Back' weekend Aug 23-25. Starting with a potluck featuring our congregants' delicious recipes, and highlighted by a talk about the new Capital Jewish Museum, opening in 2021. Click here to learn more about the museum. On Sunday we began our religious school year. Welcome back to our students and welcome to both new students and teachers! At religious school we held our first sale of logo tie dye t-shirts - it was a rousing success, netting $279 for the temple, with more to come! Capping it all off was the BCRC picnic, with a great crowd joining us on a perfect day for food, fun and friends. Click here to see a photo album (must be logged in for privacy). Thanks to Consuelo Scott and her dedicated team for another great picnic!

Announcing Sanctuary & Social Renewal Sprint 2
Our goal is to raise $50,000 by June 30 to build a spiritual Jerusalem stone wall backdrop integrated with the bimah, with recessed lighting and built-in space for a permanent ark.We plan to have the sanctuary construction done during the summer so that we can be ready for the High Holy Days. We thank everyone who has donated to our earlier phase.
Above you can see a rendering of these exciting plans (place holders for ark and furniture). Along with the movable wall and new seating these changes will begin to give our sanctuary the feel of a permanent worship space. Click here to read full details on the project.
