Meet at the Suitor home in Berryville and drive to Shepherdstown, WV for a hike along the C&O Canal. Please email Cheryl Suitor for address. 

It's a 40 minute drive from the Suitor house to the parking lot where we will start the hike. Carpooling is highly recommended!

If rain is in the forecast, the hike will be postponed. An email will go out the morning of the hike no later than 8:00 a.m.

The hike is a flat, beautiful walk in the woods just along the Potomac River on the C&O Canal. Expect gravel and some uneven surfaces but no elevation or climbing. Bring water, sunscreen, a hat, a light raincoat or jacket and wear sturdy walking shoes. The plan is to walk about three to four miles, depending on the wants of the group, then head into Shepherdstown for coffee, tea, lunch and/or strolling the craft shops, book stores, etc. 

Those who carpool can expect to be back in Berryville around 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p,m,
