Next time you enter our sanctuary, be sure to check out the beautiful and welcoming new inscription, Hinei Mah Tov, or 'How good and pleasant when we dwell together in peace' (Psalm 133:1). The inscription was designed and painted by Tamara Stoneburner, a noted calligraphy artist, who donated much time over several months to get the art work and calligraphy just right. Some other aspects that you may be interested in: You will see the dove with olive branch on the left, but did you know that the flora depicted on the right are the rose of Sharon and anemone, the Israeli state flowers? Both of these are painted on stripes which if you look closely, represent the talit stripes. If you look closely behind the dove you may also notice the Kabbalistic shekinah symbols, in this case used to represent the dove of peace. Check it out below, or better yet, next time you visit!

Announcing Sanctuary & Social Renewal Sprint 2
Our goal is to raise $50,000 by June 30 to build a spiritual Jerusalem stone wall backdrop integrated with the bimah, with recessed lighting and built-in space for a permanent ark.We plan to have the sanctuary construction done during the summer so that we can be ready for the High Holy Days. We thank everyone who has donated to our earlier phase.
Above you can see a rendering of these exciting plans (place holders for ark and furniture). Along with the movable wall and new seating these changes will begin to give our sanctuary the feel of a permanent worship space. Click here to read full details on the project.
