Cantorial Soloist: Stacy Kafka

We begin the High Holy Day season with our annual Selichot film screening, followed by prayers and poems of forgiveness. 

This year's Selichot film is "The Quilters", a Netflix short-form documentary that follows a group of incarcerated men in a Missouri maximum-security prison as they design and sew quilts for foster children, offering a powerful look at the transformative nature of creativity, purpose, and community within the prison walls. The film explores themes of redemption and the healing power of art, as inmates use their five-day-a-week quilting initiative to give back to others and find a sense of self.
