Saturday, September 9
  • 7:00 PM: Selichot Service - We begin the High Holy Day season with prayers and poems of forgiveness. We will be watching the movie "History of the World Part 1."
  • Movie summary: Mel Brooks bring his one-of-a-kind comic touch to the history of mankind, covering events from the Torah to the French Revolution in a series of episodic comedy vignettes.
Friday September 15 - Erev Rosh Hashanah
  • 4:30 PM - 5:30PM: Rosh Hashanah Young Families Games and Activities
  • 5:30 PM - 5:45 PM: Apples & Honey
  • 7:00 PM: Erev Rosh Hashanah Service
Saturday, September 16  - Rosh Hashanah Morning
  • 10:00 AM: Rosh Hashanah Morning Service in Main Sanctuary
  • 10:00 AM: Rosh Hashanah Morning Children's Service in the Library
  • 1:30 PM (time is approximate): Tashlich at Windmill Pond, Ashburn Farm 
 
Sunday, September 24 - Erev Yom Kippur

Monday, September 25 - Yom Kippur
  • 10:00 AM: Yom Kippur Morning Service
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Young  Families Service
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Meditation with Stacy Kafka
  • 3:45 PM: Yizkor Remembrance Service
  • 4:30 PM: Neilah (Closing) Service
  • 5:00 PM: Shofar Choir
  • Break-the-Fast: We will have a Break-The-Fast this year. Details forthcoming

  • Publish name in Yizkor Book ($18 per name donation suggested) 
  • Services will be held in-person, in the sanctuary, and will also be simulcast online using Zoom. For those attending in the sanctuary, Virginia and CDC COVID-19 precaution guidelines will be followed. 
  • Please note that we will be using the new Mishkan HaNefesh prayer book for the High Holy Days. We will not be purchasing hard copy books, but instead will be using a high lumen projector to project the prayers clearly on screen in the building for those attending in the sanctuary. For those attending online, the Mishkan Hanefesh will be shown on  the screen. If you prefer a hard copy book, you may order a personal copy here (https://www.ccarpress.org/shopping_product_detail.asp?pid=50288) for $44, or at a lower price for the Kindle edition. You may also follow along with the Visual T'filah at your seat by logging into our simulcast on Zoom. A few hard copy books will be reserved for the visually impaired.
